Most people dread the end of summer but I for one have mixed feelings. Usually I tend to lean toward fall clothing and weather as my favorite (growing up in Texas can jade someone of ever enjoying the heat) but this year I have wanted to hold on a bit longer. This summer brought on a lot of major change in my life but it has also encouraged a bit of a rebirth and in that I am thankful but initially neglected to let go. Either way, I styled this shoot as my last little grasp onto summer weather before I begin to welcome turtlenecks and denim jackets back onto the scene. Being that this was toward the end of August and most schools had already begun their next year curriculum, it seemed a little late in the game to be taking pics poolside, but I argue quite the opposite. I am ready to welcome fall but happy that the heat stuck by for a little longer and I am grateful for the growth that happened over the somewhat sticky months that have passed. I have lots more to come soon with all of the change that has ensued but for now leave you with this little bit of summer before September. This collaboration was shot by my sweet and insanely talented friend, Sara Strick for Urban Outfitters. All of the items are linked below and can be found on their website! Thank you to Urban Outfitters Austin for gifting the assortment of pieces, I definitely plan to transition a few of these into Fall as well. Stay in touch, the new season brings new exciting changes that I plan to post lots about soon! I am so excited about what is to come with this new, independent chapter.
As always, thank you for reading!
